Twenty years of PR experience
I (Juhani Lassila) founded Johnny L in the summer of 2018 with the intent to offer PR, communications, and marketing services in Finland and internationally for interesting clients, with whom I enjoy working with and share similar values. If your business has an aspiration to make the world a better place, I’d be thrilled to help you build the awareness you need to succeed.
My clients have included companies and organizations in the fields of media, music, and modern technologies. I have a long background in tech PR, but as a music enthusiast I enjoy working for the media & music field.
During 2022 and 2023 I’ve had the honor of serving as Head of Press for Finnish Broadcasting Company Yle’s Contest for New Music (UMK), and the Finnish Eurovision delegation.
A few other clients I’ve worked for in the past years include RadioMedia, Teosto, Sulava, Silo AI, Supermetrics, Jolla, Equinix, and Sound Engine.
I also work in tight collaboration with my PR entrepreneur colleague Merja Turpeinen / SagaSocial, and we also offer our services as a PR power team!

My 20-year career in the world of PR, communications and marketing has included a lot of exciting responsibilities, projects, and challenges working for various lines of businesses. I have deep expertise in international PR, communications and marketing, and essentially, I know how to deliver good results, also with limited budgets.
Prior to founding Johnny L, I’ve worked in-house as Head of Communications at Jolla Ltd. and Sulake Corporation. I also served for various clients in PR agencies Soprano Communications and Hill & Knowlton, including Spotify, Universal Music, IKEA, Teknologiateollisuus ry, HP, Adobe, SAP, Intel, and Ford, to name a few.
